Pvc tote bag, made to order

Tote bag, made to your specification rather than pulled from a stock list. The body is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Cangnan, so the pattern carries your dimensions, your colour and your closure instead of a catalogue default. Reference SP-SV0006. Zips are stitched through a tape that is wider than the teeth, so the seam does not pucker and the pull runs without catching at the curve.

Material and construction

PVC is a clear or tinted film, often laminated to a light mesh or cloth backing for strength. It shows the contents, which is the point of a transparent bag, and it wipes clean in seconds.

Print goes on the reverse of the film so the ink is protected, or on the front where a bolder, glossier look is wanted.

Stress points are bar-tacked or cross-stitched where a handle meets the body, and every seam is finished inside so the bag does not shed fibre onto its contents.

Printing and branding

Screen printing is the default for a short colour count: one plate per colour, a crisp edge on woven cloth, and a print that follows the surface rather than sitting on top of it. Foil, deboss and a woven label are the other three routes, and each has a fibre it prefers: foil on satin, deboss on velvet, a label on anything coarsely woven.

Placement is usually centred on the front face. The print position, the size in millimetres and the colour reference are confirmed in writing before production, and a mockup of the artwork on the actual shape is sent for approval. Artwork is best sent as vector; where only a photograph exists we redraw the mark and return it for approval.

Size, colour and small changes

Measurements are taken from the finished bag, not from the flat panel, so what you specify is what a buyer measures with a tape on arrival. Small quantities are made on the same line as large ones, so a trial order is not a different product.

A taller body, a wider base, a shorter handle or a different closure is a pattern change rather than a new product, so it is quoted as a variation. A change to the pattern is drawn up and sent back as a dimensioned sketch before the sample is cut.

Packing, checks and shipping

A pre-production sample is signed off before bulk starts, and that sample stays on the floor as the reference for every carton in the run. Any change after approval is re-sampled rather than absorbed into the run, so what is signed off is what is delivered.

Bags are counted into export cartons with an inner poly bag for sea freight, and the carton marks are agreed before packing. Delivery is quoted to your port or door, and the incoterm is stated on the order rather than assumed.
