Satin drawstring pouch, made to order

Drawstring pouch, made to your specification rather than pulled from a stock list. The body is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Cangnan, so the pattern carries your dimensions, your colour and your closure instead of a catalogue default. Reference DR-ST00001. Panels are cut on the grain and matched before sewing, so the weave runs the same way across the front, the gusset and the base instead of twisting at the corner.

Material and construction

Satin is a smooth-faced weave: threads float on the surface, so it catches light in a soft sheen and feels cool to the hand. The reverse is matte, which is why the inside of the bag looks different from the outside.

Heat transfer and foil work best here. Screen print needs a soft-hand ink or the panel will feel stiff against the sheen.

Binding runs the full length of every inside seam, and the base is a separate panel rather than a folded continuation of the front, which is what keeps a full bag square.

Printing and branding

The print method follows the fibre, not the other way round: some marks that hold on canvas will not survive on a coated film, and some films take colour that cloth cannot. Foil, deboss and a woven label are the other three routes, and each has a fibre it prefers: foil on satin, deboss on velvet, a label on anything coarsely woven.

Placement is usually centred on the front face. The print position, the size in millimetres and the colour reference are confirmed in writing before production, and a mockup of the artwork on the actual shape is sent for approval. Any change after approval is re-sampled rather than absorbed into the run, so what is signed off is what is delivered.

Size, colour and small changes

The bag is cut to your measurements, so a size that is not on any list is not a problem. Send the packed object's dimensions and we will add the seam and closure allowance. A pre-production sample is made from the agreed specification before anything is cut for bulk.

A taller body, a wider base, a shorter handle or a different closure is a pattern change rather than a new product, so it is quoted as a variation. Anything that alters the pattern is quoted as a variation on this shape rather than as a new product.

Packing, checks and shipping

A pre-production sample is signed off before bulk starts, and that sample stays on the floor as the reference for every carton in the run. Artwork is best sent as vector; where only a photograph exists we redraw the mark and return it for approval.

Shipping documents are prepared from the same order sheet as the goods, so the invoice, the packing list and the carton marks agree. Consolidated shipments can combine this line with other bags on the same order, which keeps the freight per carton down.
