Polyester shopping bag, made to order

Shopping bag, made to your specification rather than pulled from a stock list. The body is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Cangnan, so the pattern carries your dimensions, your colour and your closure instead of a catalogue default. Reference SP-PL00002. Stress points are bar-tacked or cross-stitched where a handle meets the body, and every seam is finished inside so the bag does not shed fibre onto its contents.

Material and construction

Polyester is a tight, light synthetic weave. It holds colour well, dries quickly and takes a water-repellent finish without changing the look of the cloth.

Sublimation print suits polyester best because the dye bonds into the fibre, so full-colour artwork stays soft to the touch.

Panels are cut on the grain and matched before sewing, so the weave runs the same way across the front, the gusset and the base instead of twisting at the corner.

Printing and branding

Branding here is a decision about surface as much as artwork: a solid block, a fine line or a stitched label each reads differently on the same bag. Where the artwork has shading we move to heat transfer or digital print; where it should feel raised, to embroidery.

Placement is usually centred on the front face. The print position, the size in millimetres and the colour reference are confirmed in writing before production, and a mockup of the artwork on the actual shape is sent for approval. Quotations are built line by line, so the cost of the bag, the print and the packing can each be read on its own.

Size, colour and small changes

The bag is cut to your measurements, so a size that is not on any list is not a problem. Send the packed object's dimensions and we will add the seam and closure allowance. A pre-production sample is made from the agreed specification before anything is cut for bulk.

A taller body, a wider base, a shorter handle or a different closure is a pattern change rather than a new product, so it is quoted as a variation. Hardware, lining and thread are chosen against a physical swatch rather than a screen, which removes most of the surprises.

Packing, checks and shipping

Checks run at three points: on the cut panels, on the assembled bag, and on the packed carton. The reference is the sample you approved, so anything that drifts is caught before it is boxed. Any change after approval is re-sampled rather than absorbed into the run, so what is signed off is what is delivered.

Cartons are counted and marked before they leave the floor, and the packing list is sent ahead of dispatch so your warehouse knows what is arriving. Where a launch date is fixed, we work back from it to the booking date and confirm both in writing.
