Nylon folding bag, made to order

Folding bag, made to your specification rather than pulled from a stock list. The body is cut and sewn in our own workshop in Cangnan, so the pattern carries your dimensions, your colour and your closure instead of a catalogue default. Reference FD-PL00005. Panels are cut on the grain and matched before sewing, so the weave runs the same way across the front, the gusset and the base instead of twisting at the corner.

Material and construction

Nylon is the tougher of the light synthetic weaves: more abrasion resistant than polyester at the same weight, and it folds down smaller.

It takes screen print and heat transfer cleanly, and a matte or ripstop version can be specified where the bag has to survive rough handling.

Edges are folded and stitched rather than cut raw, and the base is reinforced where the load sits, which is the difference between a bag that lasts a season and one that lasts a year.

Printing and branding

Screen printing is the default for a short colour count: one plate per colour, a crisp edge on woven cloth, and a print that follows the surface rather than sitting on top of it. Foil, deboss and a woven label are the other three routes, and each has a fibre it prefers: foil on satin, deboss on velvet, a label on anything coarsely woven.

We print to a Pantone reference rather than to what a monitor shows, and we send a digital mockup on the bag shape so the size can be judged before tooling. Quotations are built line by line, so the cost of the bag, the print and the packing can each be read on its own.

Size, colour and small changes

Dimensions, colour and construction are the three variables we work with, and none of them has to match a catalogue. Small quantities are made on the same line as large ones, so a trial order is not a different product.

Colour can be matched to a Pantone chip, to a fabric swatch or to a previous order, and small changes such as a longer handle, an inner pocket, a zip pull or a lining are part of the same conversation. Each change is priced before it is made, not after, so the quotation you approve is the one that is invoiced.

Packing, checks and shipping

Every order is inspected in line and again before packing, against the approved sample: print position, colour, stitch density, hardware function and measurement. The order sheet records the fibre, the colour references and the print position, so a repeat enquiry can be quoted from it directly.

Bags are counted into export cartons with an inner poly bag for sea freight, and the carton marks are agreed before packing. Transit options and documents are confirmed with the order, and the packing list is issued before the container is loaded.

A1: Yes, printing is done in house on nylon using screen printing or heat transfer. We ask for vector artwork, but a clean photograph is enough to start, and you see the placement on a proof before production.

Q2: What is this folding bag made of, and how does it wear?

A2: It is made from nylon. The fabric is chosen for the way the folding bag has to hold its shape in daily use, and seams are bound or double-stitched at the points that take the load.

Q3: Can we change the size, colour or add a pocket?

A3: Yes, the pattern is ours, so size, colour and small fittings can all be changed. Send a sketch or a sample you like and we quote the change before cutting anything.

Q4: What happens if something is wrong with the order?

A4: Every carton is checked against the approved sample before dispatch. If a run does not match what was signed off, we remake or credit it rather than ask you to absorb the difference.
